5K on the Greenway

Come visit Historic Mayberry and run our 19th Annual 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run #5KOTG co-hosted by Reeves Community Foundation and Mount Airy City Schools the weekend of the 56th Annual Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival!
The majority of the course is on the beautiful Emily B. Taylor Greenway and runs along Lovill's Creek. This is a
FLAT, FAST COURSE. The
57th Annual Downtown Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival is within walking distance in Historic Mount Airy, NC on race weekend. This race is a very popular event year after year. Come see why!! Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome.
All 5K on the Greenway participants receive a custom finisher's medal!

- 5K Adult
- Early Registration by 9/22: $33
- Standard Registration 9/23-10/12: $38
- 5K Youth (Under 18) - $28
- 1/2 Mile Fun Run (Under 10) - $15
Applicants registered by September 22nd are guaranteed a long-sleeve performance race shirt. All fees are non-refundable. Race runs rain or shine!

Early Packet PickupPackets may be picked up at Mount Airy Parks & Recreation/Reeves Community Center on Friday, October 11th from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Registration will also be available by cash, check or credit card (credit card processing fee applies).
Race Day Registration and Packet PickupPick up packets and register before the race at the intersection of Independence Blvd. and Emily B. Taylor section of the Granite City Greenway behind Roses Department Store on race morning, October 12th from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM. Registration fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card (credit card processing fee applies).
Course Route:
5K on the Greenway is a certified 5K course - USATF # NC23028BDSTurn-by-turn course directions:
- Starting on the Emily B. Taylor section of the greenway at the trail entrance behind Roses, walk approximately .50 mile west toward West Lebanon Street to the starting line
- Turn right off the greenway onto West Lebanon Street
- Cross the intersection and turn left on Howard Street
- Turn left on Crescent Drive, left on Park Avenue, and left on Marion Street
- Turn right onto West Lebanon Street, turn left to get back onto the greenway
- Finish behind Roses back at the trail entrance.

The 5K race is chip-timed by Go! Sports Timing. Overall awards will be based on gun time. Age group awards will be based on chip time.
