5K on the Greenway

Come visit Historic Mayberry and run our 16th Annual 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run #5KOTG co-hosted by Reeves Community Foundation and Mount Airy City Schools the weekend of the 54th Annual Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival!
The majority of the course is on the beautiful Emily B. Taylor Greenway and runs along Lovill's Creek. This is a FLAT, FAST COURSE

is within walking distance in Historic Mount Airy, NC on race weekend. This race is a very popular event year after year. Come see why!! Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome.NEW for 2020 - All 5K on the Greenway participants receive a custom finisher's medal!

(Ducks $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00) Applicants registered by September 30th are guaranteed a long-sleeve performance race shirt.

Early Packet Pickup
Packets may be picked up at Mount Airy Parks & Recreation/Reeves Community Center on Friday, October 9th from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Registration will also be available by cash, check or credit card (credit card processing fee applies). Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup
Pick up packets and register before the race at the intersection of Independence Blvd. and Emily B. Taylor section of the Granite City Greenway behind Roses and Choice Physical Therapy Saturday October 10th from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM. Registration fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card (credit card processing fee applies).

Turn-by-turn course directions:
Course Records - Male
- Starting on the Emily B. Taylor section of the greenway at the trail entrance behind Choice Physical Therapy, walk approximately .50 mile west toward West Lebanon Street to the starting line
- Turn right off the greenway onto West Lebanon Street
- Cross the intersection and turn left on Howard Street
- Turn left on Crescent Drive, left on Park Avenue, and left on Marion Street
- Turn right onto West Lebanon Street, turn left to get back onto the greenway
- Finish behind Choice Physical Therapy back at the trail entrance.
Course Records - Female
Cash Prizes for Overall Male/Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Male/Female Age Divisions 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place: 10 & Under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and Over
The 5K race is chip-timed by Go! Sports Timing. Overall awards will be based on gun time. Age group awards will be based on chip time.

Rubber Duck Regatta
WIN prize money
$5 per duck or 5 for $20
Top three ducks will receive cash prizes of $200, $100 and $50!
Do not have to be present to win.
The ducks will “RACE” down Lovill’s Creek after the 5k
All proceeds of the Rubber Duck Regatta
benefit The Children's Center of Surry.
